A member of the comedy group Broken Lizard, he directed and starred in the films Beerfest, Super Troopers and Club Dread.
He graduated from Colgate University where he was a member of the comedy troupe Charred Goosebeak.
He directed four episodes of the comedy series Arrested Development with Jason Bateman.
He married Susan Clarke in 2005.
He directed Olivia Munn in the 2012 comedy The Babymakers.
