He began his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, earning the league's Sixth Man of the Year award with the team in 2012. He made his first NBA All-Star game appearance with the Rockets in 2013. He was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in January 2021.
His Pump-N-Run Elite team won a 2006 AAU tournament by defeating DC Assault, a team that included Michael Beasley, Nolan Smith, and Austin Freeman.
His signature beard inspired its own Facebook page and Twitter account.
He was born to James Edward and Monja Harden. In 2015, he began a relationship with Khloe Kardashian; they later split in February 2016.
He was teammates with superstar forward Kevin Durant on the Thunder.
