Talented dual-threat quarterback at Texas who was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2010. After three years with the Browns, he became a backup quarterback on the San Francisco 49ers in 2013. In 2014 he began playing for the Washington Redskins.
He was an All-State quarterback under the coaching of his father, Brad, at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Texas.
He was the runner-up in the Heisman voting in 2008, as Sam Bradford, quarterback for the rival Oklahoma Sooners, won it.
He has two younger brothers, Chance and Case, who also play football. He married Rachel Glandorf on July 17, 2010.
He was a redshirt freshman in the 2005 season when Texas beat Reggie Bush and the USC Trojans in the NCAA title game.
