He played high school football at Arabia Mountain High School. He played college football at North Carolina State University for the NC Wolfpack from 2015 to 2018 before getting drafted by the New England Patriots in 2019.
He held the record for the NC Wolfpack for the most single-season receiving yards with 1,047 in 2018. He broke the NFL record for the receiver starting the season with the most receiving yard without scoring a receiving touchdown. He scored his first touchdown in the NFL against the Cleveland Browns in week 10 of the season.
He is from Lithonia, Georgia. He grew up with his parents and two brothers.
