Paul Alivisatos
Chemist
Award winning Chemist who won the Wolf Prize in Chemistry in 2012 and the Linus Pauling Award the year before. He has spent the majority of his career researching the structural, thermodynamic, optical, and electrical properties of nanocrystals.
He graduated from University of Chicago in 1981 and then later got his doctorate from Berkley.
He co-edited Nano Letters which is a prominent scientific journal.
He moved to Greece at the age of 10 where he learned the Greek language and culture.
He won the Alfred P. Sloan fellowship.
