Highly regarded musician and educator known for recording many French composers with particular emphasis on Maurice Ravel's piano works.
He was awarded a Premiere Pix in 1921 while studying at the Paris Conservatoire.
He was chosen by Ravel to be the first French pianist to perform Concerto for the Left Hand.
His father was famed composer Henry Février.
He had a successful teaching career at the Conservatoire de Paris, influencing many students including future star classical pianist Gabriel Tacchino.
