Jack Whatmough

Central defender who is known for his time playing in the English professional ranks. He gained widespread renown for his time with the Portsmouth football club, where he signed a 3-year professional deal in August 2013.
He began his youth career playing for Southampton's youth academy team. He subsequently left Southampton and began his time in the Portsmouth academy at age 13 in 2009.
In December 2013, he earned his first call to play for the English national team on their U-18 squad. He subsequently made his international debut on the team in March 2014.
He was born and raised in Gosport, England.
In August 2014, much was made of his supposed resemblance to Arsenal soccer star Jack Wilshere.
