Jack Stamp

Though particularly their for his Gavorkna Fanfare, this American composer published close to sixty other musical pieces. Also a conductor and music professor, he established Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Keystone Wind Ensemble.
After earning an undergraduate degree in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he received a master's degree from East Carolina University and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Michigan State University.
Before becoming a music faculty member at his alma mater, he taught and/or conducted orchestras at Campbell University, John T. Hoggard High School, and Duke University (all in North Carolina).
He was born in College Park, Maryland.
He studied with fellow American composer David Diamond.
