Drummer
Drummer who helped found the alternative rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and who also worked with Pearl Jam and Eleven.
He met future bandmates Michael "Flea" Balzary and Hillel Slovak while attending Hollywood's Bancroft Jr. High School and Anthony Kiedis and Alain Johannes while attending Fairfax High School.
He and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14, 2012.
He used his family's cutlery as drumsticks growing up, honing his skills as he played along to music on the radio.
He collaborated with Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade in 2000.
