Weightlifter who won gold at World Championships in Doha in 2005, Santo Domingo in 2006, Paris in 2001, and Almaty in 2014.
He set two world records at the President's Cup in December 2005 in Russia.

His daughter is Milana IIyina.
He and Kristin Pope are both Olympic weightlifters.
