Henry Hugh Armstead
Sculptor
English sculptor and illustrator who was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites. He designed The Stockbridge Cup, the prize for the Nottingham horse race.
He went to work for the silversmiths Hunt and Roskell at age 18.
He was commissioned to make a statue of Aristotle in Caen stone for the Museum of Natural History in Oxford.
He was the son of John Armstead.
He and Anne Seymour Damer are both sculptors from England.
