Harlan F. Stone
Supreme Court Justice
Served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1925 to 1941 and later became the 12th Chief Justice of the U.S.
He graduated from Amherst College in 1894.
He was a supporter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs, a view not held by many justices at the time.
He was the son of Fred L. and Ann S. Butler Stone.
He was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Calvin Coolidge.
