He was born into a highly religious family and was raised as an ardent Seventh Day Adventist.
He received an amazing eight nominations at the Barbados Music Awards in 2007, including nominations for Best New Artist and R&B Song of the Year.
His parents, David and Cheryl, were both classically-trained musicians.
He and pop superstar Rihanna are two of Barbados' most popular musical exports.
