Soul Singer
Soul singer whose full-length debut Soul Run was released to much acclaim in 2016, being longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. She has appeared as a frequent guest on CBC Kids and played a lounge singer on the series Bomb Girls.
She lived in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Toronto, Ontario in the late 2000s. She originally performed under the name Ms. Chawlz and released an EP called What! What? What!? in 2010.
Her album Soul Run was nominated for a Juno Award for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2017.
She has a brother.
She has been a backup vocalist for Emmanuel Jal.
