He won the 2004 Star Search talent competition which earned him a spot at Sting 2004, deemed the "greatest one night reggae show on earth."
He was nominated as Best New Entertainer at the 2006 International Reggae and World Music Awards.
He is Rastafarian. In 2006 his then-girlfriend birthed twin sons, but both died shortly after due to prematurity.
His style has been compared to Beres Hammond.
