Known for his work with the hip hop groups Black Moon and Boot Camp Clik, this New York-born rapper also released a 1999 solo album titled The BDI Thug and collaborated on several albums with music producer and fellow rapper 9th Wonder.
He released his first single with Black Moon, "Who Got Da Props?," in 1993. A critically-acclaimed album, Enta Da Stage, soon followed.
He co-founded a music management company called Duck Down Music, Inc.
He was born Kenyatta Blake in New York City's Brooklyn neighborhood.
His cousin and fellow rapper, David Stones, formed a Brooklyn-based group called District of Hip Hop.
