English musician best known as the frontman of the band Graham Parker & the Rumour. He has released more than thirty albums with the Rumour and as a solo artist since the mid-70's.
He worked at the Animal Virus Research Institute as a teenager.
He has enjoyed commercial success with singles like 1982's "Temporary Beauty", which cracked the Top 50 in the U.K.
He married a photographer named Jolie.
His 1979 album "Squeezing Out Sparks" was produced by respected record producer Jack Nitzsche.
