Jazz artist known for his many collaborations and globetrotting concerts and performances.
He attended the Berklee College of Music after receiving a full-time scholarship. He later attended the Manhattan School of Music.
His composition Obstinated was covered by the Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra who would later become known as the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
His family moved to Nice, France, while he was still young. He was playing piano and showing an interest in classical saxophone by age seven.
His resume included a collaboration with Harry Belafonte.
