After playing for the Miami Dolphins from 1988 until 1992, this NFL tight end played one season with the Seattle Seahawks. Over the course of his career, he scored twelve touchdowns and was responsible for 148 receptions and 1,894 receiving yards.
He played his college career for the University of Maryland.
After retiring from professional football, he coached at Dan River High School in Virginia.
He was born in South Boston, Virginia, and he graduated from high school in Danville, Virginia. His son Trey played football for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
He and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eric Allen both began their careers as professional football players following the 1988 NFL Draft.
