Singer who was first exposed to a national audience in 2008, when she was a featured semi-finalist on the eighth season of American Idol. She later released her rock and soul-influenced debut EP, Lost Words, became a background singer on Dancing with the Stars and performed at the Miss USA 2015 pageant.
She grew up in the military town of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She got her start singing in church and performed her first solo at just 2 years old.
Her song "Catching Shadows" was featured in the dance movie Make Your Move, featuring Derek Hough of Dancing With the Stars fame.
She married a man named Loren and has a son named Malachi. Her father was a preacher and her mother was a singer.
She co-wrote the 2013 Demi Lovato single "Nightingale."
