Later became known as a philosopher of science, systems theorist, and integral theorist.
He debuted when he was nine with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.
He authored 75 books, wrote over 400 papers, served as editor of World Futures: The Journal of General Evolution, and recorded numerous piano concertos.
His father was a shoe manufacturer and his mother was a piano player. He fathered systems scientist Alexander Laszlo.
He was appointed to Hungary's global-warming campaign by the minister of environment in 2008, a cause originally championed in the United States by Al Gore.
