Edward Tarr

Known for being the owner of one of the largest collections of original trumpet literature.
His teacher was principal trumpet in the Boston Symphony Orchestra; he studied musicology with Leo Schrade as well.
He started recording with the Münchener Bach-Orchester in 1960.
He married Irmtraud Krüger, an organist and author.
Both he and Miles Davis released records with Columbia.
