Edward Douglass White

Served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1894 to 1910 and later became the Court's ninth Chief Justice.
He studied law at the University of Louisiana.
He was well-known for creating the "Rule of Reason" standard of antitrust law.
His father was Edward Douglass White Sr., a former governor of Louisiana.
He was nominated to the position of associate justice on the Court by President Grover Cleveland.
