Vocalist and guitarist best known as the frontman for the lo-fi indie rock group Beach Fossils, who have won positive reviews for releases like Somersault (2017). He is the co-founder of Bayonet Records, which has been home to such artists as Frankie Cosmos.
He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina before moving to New York City. He was working at Urban Outfitters when he formed Beach Fossils.
He and the other members of Beach Fossils played the punk band The Nasty Bits in the Martin Scorsese-produced HBO series Vinyl.
He married Katie Garcia, former label manager of the Captured Tracks label.
DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith has performed alongside him in Beach Fossils.
