Leader of the new wave band The Knack, which had a #1 hit with "My Sharona" in 1979, which was so popular that it was even featured in the film Reality Bites.
After high school he went to England to play with his band Sky, which broke up several years later.
His hit song "My Sharona" was inspired by a real life crush named Sharona, who became a successful Los Angeles real estate agent.
His older brother Geoffrey Fieger was the defense attorney for Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
He positioned The Knack as the 1980s version of Paul McCartney and The Beatles, even re-creating their their group photo on the back of one of their albums.
