Professional catcher that was drafted by the San Diego Padres during the second round of the 2011 MLB Draft. In 2013, he was ranked the fourth best catching prospect in the minor league according to MLB.com. Later on that same year, he was selected to represent the United States team during the 2013 MLB Futures All-Star game.
He was drafted out of JSerra Catholic High School, and began his professional career playing for the Padres' Single-A affiliate the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
He made his major league debut playing against the San Francisco Giants on May 4, 2015.
He is a native of San Juan Capistrano, California. He lives with his wife, Maggie.
He played alongside AJ Ellis as a member of the Padres during the 2018 MLB season.
