Songwriter and lead guitarist for the rock band The Eagles from 1974 to 1980 and again from 1994 to 2001.
He met future fellow Eagles member Bernie Leadon at Gainesville High School.
He has released two solo albums, Airborne in 1983 and Road to Forever in 2012.
He has four children with his previous wife Susan Felder and he got remarried to Kathrin Nicholson.
He and The Eagles have opened for Neil Young.
