Softball player who was a two-time college All-American and won a gold medal in the 1996 Olympics, leading the Americans in hitting with a .406 average.
She played softball at Temple University.
She was inducted into the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame in 2001.
She grew up with her family in Wilmington, Delaware.
Former major league second baseman Delino DeShields is also a member of the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
