He debuted in the World Cup when he was only 18 years old.
He finished first in the downhill at the 2012 World Cup.
He was born in Morgins, Valais, Switzerland.
Skeleton racer Maya Pedersen-Bieri also competed for Switzerland in the 2010 Olympics.
