She and her sisters' first album Jesus Has A Lot To Give was released through their uncle's Billesse Records label.
She left her sisters' group in 1986. In 2020, she and her sisters were the focus of a biopic produced for Lifetime.
She is the sister of Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-cole, Twinkie Clark, and Jacky Chisholm. She has seven sons.
She had the opportunity to collaborate with Rance Allen.
