He had a number of jobs before appearing on Indonesian Idol, working as a wedding singer and door-to-door salesman.
He made his acting debut in the 2005 romance film Vina Bilang Cinta.
He married Yeslin Wang in 2011.
He came in second to Joy Tobing on Indonesian Idol.
