Hall of Fame Australian rules footballer with West Coast anchored the middle the 243 games with the team.
He was recruited by West Coast from Subiaco Football Club in the Western Australian Football League, and made his debut in 1990.
While never scoring very high, he was known for quickly and accurately passing to his teammates to put them in a position to score.
He was born in Kalgoorlie, in Western Australia.
James Hird was another AFL Hall of Famer - he was a franchise player for Essendon F.C.
