David Leland

Accomplished British director, screenwriter, and actor who made noise at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival for his directorial debut Wish You Were Here. He won an Emmy award for his directorial work in an episode of the mini-series Band of Brothers.
He studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama and later graduated from the Drama Centre London.
He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his screenplay of the Neil Jordan directed film Mona Lisa.
He was born in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.
He directed the film The Land Girls, which starred Rachel Weisz.
