David Hart Dyke
War Hero
War hero who was a Royal Navy officer and aide-de-camp to HM The Queen. He also served as a commanding officer of HMS Coventry which sunk during the Falklands War.
He grew up in the United Kingdom before enlisting to serve as a Royal Navy officer.
He published the book Four Weeks in May: the Loss of HMS Coventry - a Captain's Story which contains transcripts of his war diary.
He married Diana Margaret Luce in 1967 and they have two daughters, Miranda and Alice.
Paul Bettany portrayed him in the film Destroyer based on his memoirs.
