Sportscaster and former hockey goaltender who is best known for serving as the color commentator for the NHL's Dallas Stars. He began his tenure in 1996 and in 2011, he began hosting the nationally-televised Hockey Night in Canada.
He was selected 42nd overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. He retired from professional hockey in 1994, after an injury effectively rendered him unable to perform further.
Since joining the play-by-play commentator Ralph Strangis in 1996, the duo have earned a cult following in Dallas. In August 2012, the two were named the #1 broadcasting duo by the website HockeyBuzz.com.
He was born and raised in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.
