Dan Colen
Sculptor
Best known for his painted sculptures that incorporated low culture, graffiti, and installations.
He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2001, where he earned his BFA in Painting.
His most their works included "Bird Shit" and "Secrets and Cymbals, Smoke and Scissors: My Friend Dash’s Wall in the Future."
His father Sy Colen was a wood and clay sculptor who was featured on "Artstar," the 2006 reality TV show.
His work was displayed at The Whitney Museum, which was co-founded by Gertrude Whitney.
