Known for both his live stand-up comedy shows and his regular appearances on television programs such as Last Comic Standing and Def Comedy Jam, this comedian also had an acting career, appearing on situation comedies such as Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Everybody Hates Chris.
At the beginning of his comedy career, he was mentored by fellow Chicago comedian Godfrey C. Danchimah, Jr.
Before hosting a radio program called The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show, he frequently contributed to Jamie Foxx's internet radio channel.
He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He's married to Maya Holcomb.
He often presented his stand-up acts under the name of "Ghetto Dr. Phil McGraw."
