R&B vocalist best known for solo tracks like 1988's "Everything I Miss at Home". She is also their for her many collaborations with Alexander O'Neal, such as "Saturday Love".
She got her big break when Clarence Avant of Tabu Records heard her demo and signed her to the label in 1983.
"Everything I Miss at Home" is her best selling single, reaching #1 on the U.S. R&B charts in 1988.
She is the cousin of fellow singer Perri Reid.
Her song "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" was covered by Mariah Carey on the pop superstar's 2001 album "Glitter".
