She began to build her fame following the 1999 release of her popular single "Hakikat Cinta."
She was a controversial contestant on the One in a Million reality TV talent competition because she was already an established singer when she entered the contest. Ultimately, she was voted out after making it to the final four.
Her family lived in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia at the time of her birth.
She performed Beyonce's hit "Crazy in Love" during the One in a Million talent competition.
