He started shoplifting when he was 13 and constantly got into trouble for fighting during his school days.
He was released from prison in October, 1988 but then arrested again just 69 days later.
He was born Michael Gordon Peterson and raised with two brothers by Eira and Joe Peterson.
A 2008 film named Bronson was made about his life, with Tom Hardy portraying him.
