She met her future husband when she was eighteen years old.
In 2011, in one of the biggest real estate deals of the decade, she sold the family mansion - all 123 rooms of it - for $150 million.
Her marriage to Aaron Spelling produced two children. The couple's daughter, Tori Spelling, became the star of Beverly Hills 90210.
After selling her mansion, she settled in a two-story condo in Century City, California, becoming a neighbor of Paula Abdul.
