He co-wrote the Charlie Wilson Grammy nominated song "There Goes My Baby" with Kenneth Edmonds and Daryl Simmons and has collaborated with other artists such as Angie Stone, Raphael Saadiq, Chico DeBarge, Claudette Ortiz, and K-Ci & JoJo.
Born and raised in Monroe North Carolina, he had a very musical upbringing, singing in his mother's local gospel group as a young boy.
Some of his biggest influences as a musician include Sam Cooke, Bobby Womack, Donny Hathaway, and Marvin Gaye.
