American musician who was recognized for his soul music and gained fame for his song "Where is the Love." His 1970 debut album was Everything Is Everything.
He attended Howard University and studied music.
During the Grammy Awards in 1973 he won Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group of Vocals for "Where is the Love."
He had two daughters with his wife Eulaulah.
His album Donny Hathaway Live inspired many modern day artists like Usher.
