Husband to the eldest daughter of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, Michael Bates. He joined the cast of the Bates family's reality show Bringing Up Bates when he and Michael were married in 2015.
He met Michael Bates in 2009 while he was serving with a ministry in Chicago.
He earned his bachelor's degree in November of 2014. Deeply religious like the Bates family, he has worked for IBLP ministries.
He has one sister.
His brother-in-law Zachary also stars on the series Bringing Up Bates.
