Known for his 1963 hit "Yakety Sax" who was one of the musicians known for having the "Nashville Sound."
He performed with the U.S. Army band and went on to play with Dink Welch's Kopy Kats.
Between 1963 and 1967 he had four singles get placed on the Top 100 charts.
He was born in Paducah, Kentucky and raised in Cadiz.
He did many session recordings with Elvis Presley and worked on many of his movie soundtracks.
