Ben Nicholson
Painter
English artist best known for his abstract paintings, landscapes, and still life work. Some of his works include White Relief and the Nicholson Wall.
He attended the Slade School of Fine Art from 1910–1914.
He designed the poster for the 1904 stage adaptation of Peter Pan.
His parents, grandmother, brother, and great-uncles were all noted artists of their time. He was married three times.
He was a contemporary of Henry Moore, whose work inspired him.
