Gymnastics coach who guided many female athletes to Olympic gold medals, including Nadia Comaneci and Svetlana Boginskaya.
He developed a gymnastics training program in which Nadia Comaneci was one of his first pupils.
He and his wife, Marta Eross, both became gymnastics coaches.
He was born in Kolozsvar (now Cluj-Napoca), Romania, in 1942.
He trained Mary Lou Retton, an Olympic gold medalist.
