Multicultural chef who rose to fame as a judge on the reality series Chopped Canada. He is also the owner and head chef of the Montreal eatery Park Restaurant. He also owns the Latin cuisine eatery Lavanderia.
He learned how to cook from his mother who would often make things from scratch. He later worked as a dishwasher at a Chinese buffet and then a prep cook for his sister's restaurant, Takara. He would also go on to apprentice at her other restaurant, Tomo. He eventually attended culinary school in Japan.
In addition to owning several restaurants, he has owned the food market called Marché Park.
He is of Korean descent and grew up in Asunción, Buenos Aires, and Rio. He later settled in Montreal, Canada. His father owned a factory when he was growing up.
He has served as a judge on Chopped Canada alongside Susur Lee, Roger Mooking, and Lynn Crawford, amongst others.
