Lawyer, politician and activist who was elected to lead the Green Party on October 3, 2020. Her victory secured her status as the first Black Canadian and Jewish woman to serve as the head of a federal party. In 2001, she co-founded the Canadian Centre for Political Leadership. She served as the director until 2005. She has held positions at Canada's Mission to the European Union and the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court. She attended the University of Ottawa and Princeton University.
