American stand-up comedian who had his own show on the former Comedy Channel for three years (now known as Comedy Central) called Night After Night with Allan Havey.
He debuted on Late Night with David Letterman when he performed a stand-up routine. He was in consideration by NBC to Letterman's replacement during the Letterman/Leno controversy, but Conan O'Brien was chosen instead.
He has appeared in notable films such as Rounders, Hancock, and The Informant!. On television he has appeared in Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, and Mad Men among others.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri.
He had a guest-starring role on Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Show.
